Complete Guide to finding your Ring Size!
Finding the perfect ring size can be a daunting task, but fear not! With this comprehensive guide, you can accurately determine your ring size from the comfort of your own home.
Option One
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies Before you begin, make sure you have the following items on hand:
- A ruler or measuring tape calibrated in millimeters
- A piece of string or strip of paper
- A pen or marker
- Ring size chart (provided below)
Step 2: Measure Your Finger
- Choose a time when your fingers are at their normal size. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as this can cause them to shrink.
- Take the piece of string or paper and wrap it around the base of the finger you want to measure.
- Mark where the string or paper overlaps with a pen or marker.
- Straighten out the string or paper and measure the length in millimeters from the end to the mark. This measurement corresponds to your finger's circumference.
Step 3: Determine Your Size
- Use the measured circumference to find your ring size on the ring size chart, below.
- If your measurement falls between two sizes, it's generally recommended to opt for the larger size for a more comfortable fit, although we can cater for half sizes, just message us!
Step 4: Double-Check Your Size To ensure accuracy, consider the following additional tips:
- Measure your finger multiple times at different points throughout the day to account for fluctuations in size.
- If you're between sizes, try measuring the same finger on your other hand, as there can sometimes be slight variations between fingers.
- Take into account the width of the ring band you intend to wear, as wider bands may require a slightly larger size for a comfortable fit. We recommend ordering half a size larger for our wide bands (such as The Faerie Tale Rings!).
